Subject: Remembrance Month and the Veterans Petition: www.petitiononline.com/vets8
Dear Veterans and Supporters,
The month of November is now upon us, during Remembrance week Politicians of all stripes will assemble across the Country to give their respect to our fallen Comrades, show their Political colours and brief Veterans of their appreciation for our service to Canada.
This year, we encourage our Veterans to distribute to all Politicians our Petition cards and seek their support to sign the Petition. Remind them that our votes may stand in the balance at the next Federal Election.
Since the 17 October 2007, we have accumulated over 15,000 signatures with the support of 37 Senior Military/RCMP Officers. We need to do our part to gather more signatures. Veterans should print off cards, a 6mil paper will suffice, distribute them to Veterans, to our friends and the General Public, and ask them to view/sign the petition. This petition can only succeed with total participation of Veterans.
Remembrance week is also an opportunity for Veterans to be heard by Politicians. We need to present our Petition shoulder to shoulder or Politicians will place it on the back burner for another 40 years.
The Petition is open to all Canadians who support Veterans. Please distribute far and wide!
The Torch is in your hands!
Sincerely,
John Labelle
